Location: BS48 Area, Bristol Start Date: September Salary: £90–£105 per day (approx. £450–£525 per week) A welcoming and supportive primary school in the BS48 area of Bristol is looking for an enthusiastic Unqualified Teaching Assistant to join their team full-time from September. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with experience in settings such as nurseries, sports coaching, swimming instruction, youth work, or similar — who is now ready to bring those skills into the classroom. The Role: Support the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom organisation. Work with individual pupils or small groups, providing targeted support where needed. Encourage pupils' engagement, confidence, and positive behaviour in lessons. Assist with classroom preparation, displays, and general day-to-day duties. Provide social and emotional support to help pupils feel safe and confident at school. Promote an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all children. Be a proactive and flexible team member, ready to support across the school as needed. The Ideal Candidate: Has experience working with children – e.g. in a nursery, as a sports or swimming coach, youth leader, or similar role. Passionate about supporting young learners and eager to build a career in education. Patient, caring, and able to build strong relationships with children and staff. Reliable, well-organised, and confident in managing groups of young children. Enthusiastic, energetic, and ready to contribute positively to the school community. A valid DBS check is required (or willingness to obtain one before starting).
