Are you an experienced Assistant Accountant/ Assistant Finance Manager/bookkeeper?
* Do you have experience working within the property and/or hospitality sector?
* Are you comfortable controlling the ledger and reconciliation activities, whilst supporting the production of the year-end financial accounts?
This West London based property development company are looking to recruit an Assistant Accountant/Assistant Finance Manager, to support their finance team with key activities that includes the production of the group statutory financial accounts, maintaining the nominal ledger whilst controlling the ledgers, reconciliations, accruals & prepayments and expenses.
Your daily duties will include:
* Support and assist the Head of Finance and Finance Manager in the preparation of group accounts before they are finalised and sent to the auditors
* Responsible for the day to day bookkeeping and administration of the accounts of the group accounts and individual company records
* Perform bank reconciliation for all bank accounts
* Journal entries including Accruals and Prepayments reconciliation
* Preparation and submission of VAT returns
* Monitor, maintain and reconcile expenses and credit card transactions
* Control and monitors service charges and rental invoicing
* Perform credit card reconciliation
* Update the fixed assets/depreciation and nominal ledger journals
The successful candidate will be an experienced part-qualified, who is looking to complete their professional studies, with good attention to detail who can ‘hit the ground running’ supporting this busy team providing accounting support to assist with business performance and the delivery of the group. It is imperative that you have strong interpersonal and communication with the ability to support and communicate with senior budget holders and external stakeholders.
It is essential that you have excellent systems skills including varied finance systems including Sage, Xero, QuickBooks whilst being a competent user of Excel
