Overview
UK Eng Services Production Associate role at Milliken & Company. Beech Hill Plant supports supplying world class textile floor coverings throughout Europe and the Middle East. This is an exciting time to join a global leader within the maintenance team at the Beech Hill Plant with new leadership and changing patterns to support work/life balance.
Responsibilities
* You will be working autonomously on shifts but will report to the Maintenance Team Leader.
* Maintain and install all electrical plant and machinery in line with company requirements.
* Diagnose and repair electrical problems on the plant or equipment with rapid response.
* Carry out a planned preventive maintenance schedule on the full range of equipment within the site.
* Ensure that all plant and machinery are kept in safe, good, and clean condition.
* Interrogate PLC equipment such as Allen Bradley and Siemens.
* Complete relevant administration associated with the task in a timely and accurate manner.
* Report any problems regarding equipment and machinery to the Engineering Team Leader or the Engineering Coordinator.
* Adhere to Company Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures.
* Promote Lean thinking and actively seek ways to improve efficiency.
* Cross-departmental communication with connected associates.
* Complete maintenance work requests, use of a CMMS system (Agility or similar).
* Able to work efficiently without supervision.
Experience Required
* Knowledge and experience of fault finding and repairs to industrial controls and systems.
* Ability to read and understand PLC logic and fault-find within.
* Knowledgeable with VSDs (Variable Speed Drives).
* Ability to read schematic drawings is crucial.
* Analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to think outside the box.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
Minimum Qualifications
* Time-served indentured apprenticeship or equivalent.
* IET wiring regulations.
* Relevant qualifications in electrical/electronics.
* Proven experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment.
* Able to provide references.
