Job Description: Management Accountant
Reporting to: Senior Management Accountant
Position: Full Time @ 37.5 hrs Per Week
Purpose: To establish themselves as the Management Accountant.
Role & Responsibilities
* Preparation of monthly management accounts and variance analysis including liaising with Operational Managers for Turnover variances to strict deadlines.
* Preparation of data for monthly Board meetings.
* Local and Group commentary and reporting on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
* Manage the budgeting and forecasting process.
* Attend Quarterly Road Manager Meetings.
* Monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations completed within the required deadlines.
* Ensure compliance to Group reporting standards.
* Analysis of KPI's benchmarking report and Product report.
* Leases Reconciliation and Basket Monitoring.
* Depreciation Posting and Fixed Asset Reconciliation.
* Prepare VAT Returns and maintenance of appropriate documentation.
* Preparation and posting of Journals.
* Monthly calculation of Estimated Gross Margin.
* Import of transactions via Interface and completing checks on imported data to ensure that Income and Expenditure are correctly reported.
* Assist with improvements to and documentation of processes and procedures.
* Production of Monthly Reports as requested by the business.
* Ad hoc duties and requirements including assisting the Finance Manager with projects.
* Help develop Management Accountant Air and Sea and Assistant Accountant.
* Completion of IDL Pack submission and Audit at year end.
