This is an exceptional opportunity with Milk Education for Psychology Graduates looking to begin or further their career in education. As a Learning Support Assistant (LSA), you will work in a dynamic school environment, supporting primary aged children. This role offers invaluable hands-on experience for those pursuing careers in educational psychology, social work, or other related fields.
As an LSA, you will provide one-to-one and small group support to students, helping them to engage in their learning and personal development in a nurturing and structured environment.
Psychology Graduate – Key Responsibilities:
1. Support pupils’ learning in the classroom under the direction of the class teacher
2. Work with individual pupils or small groups to reinforce learning and understanding
3. Assist pupils with additional needs (SEND), including adapting activities where required
4. Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
5. Support pupils with emotional, social, and behavioural development
6. Assist with classroom preparation, resources, and displays
7. Encourage pupil independence, confidence, and engagement in learning
Psychology Graduate – Requirements:
8. A degree in Psychology (or a related field) is highly advantageous but not essential.
9. Experience working with children or young people is desirable but not required.
10. A genuine passion for supporting children with additional learning needs.
11. Strong communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
12. Patience, empathy, and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
13. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
14. A current enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
