This role is a great opportunity for a technically skilled Health and Safety Professional to make a meaningful impact across the multiple UAL sites. In this role you will: Partner with senior leaders to shape our Health and Safety strategy and ensure its effective implementation across the University. Lead a dedicated H&S Advisory team of 5, fostering professional growth and maintaining high standards through regular support and development. Drive a culture of safety awareness and excellence by supporting management teams and advising on best practices to prioritise Health and Safety within our objectives. Stay ahead of UK Health and Safety legislation, identifying opportunities for improvement to support our operations while effectively managing risks across all areas. Monitor and improve Health and Safety performance through rigorous investigation of incidents, facilitating operational improvement plans, and ensuring continuous development of safety protocols. This role is an apprenticeship, so as part of the job, we will also support you to study and complete a postgraduate diploma in Strategic Leadership. Developed with the Universities Health and Safety Association (USHA) this is a tailored learning programme designed to address the sector-specific needs of H&S professionals. It is delivered in a flexible, blended format to allow you to study in a way that works for you and comes with an Academic Mentor and Skills Coach to offer both academic and work-based learning support.
