You will be working with individuals placed into care settings for various reasons, with a range of disorders, behaviors, and needs. Therefore, we seek individuals with confidence, patience, and the skill set to work successfully with these individuals and make a positive impact on their lives. In this role, you will support service users throughout the day with tasks such as meal preparation, personal care, cleaning, and shopping.
Main duties and responsibilities:
* Build strong professional relationships with service users and staff
* Maintain a safe, clean, and enjoyable environment for service users and staff
* Keep up to date with all communication and information systems
* Attend and actively participate in meetings
* Protect service users from abuse by staff, visitors, or other service users
* Write accurate reports for reviews and keep written records for monitoring
* Attend work reliably and punctually, following a set shift pattern
* Stay updated with all procedures and policy changes
* Take responsible care for health and safety of yourself and others
* Undertake any additional duties relevant to the post
Person Specification:
* Ability to form professional relationships with service users
* Ability to read, understand, and write clear, accurate reports
* Effective communication skills with service users in various ways
* Willingness to participate in all activities and go where service users want to go
