Duty Manager Marylebone, London | Full-time | Temporary (3–4 weeks) If you are used to hiding behind a big team or passing issues up the chain, this will feel very different. This is a small, 24-bedroom hotel where the person on shift is the person in control. You will be the point of contact for guests, the front office and anything that needs resolving in the moment. It is a straightforward operation on paper, but it relies heavily on someone who is organised, calm under pressure and able to keep standards high without needing layers of support. The pace is steady rather than chaotic. With around 5 check-ins and 7 check-outs per day, this is not about volume, it is about consistency. Guest experience, presentation and handling problems properly matter far more than just getting people through the door. You will report directly into the Front Office Manager and work across early and late shifts, taking full ownership of the hotel during your hours.
