Job Description
Our client, a large reputable social housing contractor providing maintenance and repair services to thousands of properties across the East, is looking for a full-time residential planner/scheduler to join their team.
We are seeking applicants who can provide excellent customer service, liaise effectively between multi-trade workers and tenants regarding maintenance works. The ideal candidate will be well-organized, professional, capable of handling high call volumes, computer literate (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel), and willing to learn the company database. The role is based at their Bury St Edmunds office.
Key Objectives of Role
* Provide outstanding customer service
* Facilitate prompt and efficient repairs and maintenance services

Main Responsibilities
* Receive work orders from customers
* Analyze work orders, liaise with customers on diagnosis and accuracy
* Enter and configure data in the company system
* Arrange appointments with customers
* Allocate work and schedule response operatives and subcontractors
* Finalize order processes after work completion
* Monitor and action items connected to work orders to ensure efficiency
* Challenge appropriately to carry out your role effectively
* Escalate unresolved issues promptly
* Work within set priorities, deadlines, and performance targets
* Perform additional reasonable tasks as assigned
* Ensure personal health, safety, and welfare, and that of colleagues
* Seek value-for-money opportunities to improve service
* Use measures for continuous improvement
* Demonstrate commitment to equality and diversity objectives
* Adhere to IT security and data protection legislation
Preferred Skills and Experience
* Experience dealing with customers over the phone
* Proficient with computers and standard software
* Experience in customer service roles
* Knowledge or experience in property maintenance or technical environments (preferred)
This is a full-time role, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
