We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our Tarmac Kier Joint Venture team based in Picketts Lock, London. Location: Picketts Lock, London - remote working available, with occasional travel to the office required. Hours: 45 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us. We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role. This role is part of a vibrant highways maintenance contract covering North London, where you will play a key role in managing the commercial aspects of diverse projects such as highway surfacing, drainage, road marking and asset maintenance. Key Responsibilities
* Pricing works and agreeing costs with clients prior to project commencement
* Managing subcontractors including raising orders and assessing payment applications
* Negotiating and agreeing variations with clients
* Contributing to monthly forecasting and reporting
* Mentoring junior team members and sharing your expertise
Qualifications & Requirements
* Proficiency in Highways Schedule of Rates and understanding of the method of measurement
* Experience in highways maintenance projects
* Confidence with Microsoft Office applications
* Enjoy collaboration and thrive in team environments
* Proactive and able to use initiative to solve challenges
