Full-Time Learning Support Assistant (KS2) – Preston
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm | Start: ASAP
Rate of Pay: From £14.50 per hour
A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Preston is seeking a dedicated and proactive Learning Support Assistant to work across Key Stage 2. This is a full-time position, supporting a range of pupils to help them achieve their full academic and personal potential.
The Role:
* Provide targeted support to pupils across KS2, both in class and in small groups
* Deliver interventions to support progress in core subjects
* Promote positive behaviour, engagement and wellbeing
* Work closely with class teachers to monitor and report on pupil progress
* Liaise confidently with the school’s Family Support Officer to ensure a joined-up approach to support
* Contribute to a supportive, inclusive and nurturing school environment
The Ideal Candidate Will:
* Hold one of the following qualifications (essential):
o Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification
o Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
o BA (Hons) in Childcare, Social Sciences or a related field
* Have experience working within a primary school setting, ideally KS2
* Be confident communicating professionally with teaching staff and pastoral teams
* Demonstrate initiative, empathy and strong organisational skills
* Be committed to supporting both the academic progress and wellbeing of pupils

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
