SQL Developer
Hybrid Role (Based in the North East)
£30,000 - £35,000 Dependent on Experience
An established Finance Business Intelligence (BI) team is seeking a skilled SQL Developer. The successful candidate will take on an end-to-end development role, working primarily with SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), and managing all ETL and Data Warehousing processes to support evolving business reporting needs.
Responsibilities
* Write structured SQL code to ensure effective data manipulation and retrieval.
* Proactively identify and resolve issues with datasets, reports, stored procedures, views, and jobs.
* Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure requirements are fully understood and met.
* Design intuitive, user-focused reports tailored to business needs.
* Follow established testing and change management protocols.
* Document new processes to support clarity and future maintenance.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
* Strong data modelling and analytical skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
* Proficiency in SQL development, ideally within SSMS.
* Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
* Familiarity with ETL concepts and processes.
* Strong organisational and time management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
