GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant to join vibrant primary schools in Rotherham (S62). As an Early Years Teaching Assistant (Early Years TA), you will play a crucial role in supporting the development of children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). You will assist the class teacher in delivering engaging activities that foster a love of learning and help build the foundational skills necessary for success throughout their education. Early Years TA Responsibilities: Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging EYFS lessons. Support children’s learning and development through structured activities and play. Help create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment. Provide one-to-one support for children with additional needs as required. Encourage positive behaviour and support children’s social and emotional development. Assist with observations and assessments of children’s progress. Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding children’s progress and well-being. Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure effective support for all learners. Follow school policies and procedures for safeguarding, behaviour, and inclusion. Requirements for Early Years Teaching Assistant: Experience working with children in an Early Years setting as a Early Years Teaching Assistant is preferred. Must hold a Level 2 or 3 in Early Years qualification. A genuine passion for working with young children. Strong communication and classroom management skills. Ability to build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
