What's involved with this role: JOB TITLE: Programme Lead - Families First Reform Programme - Children’s Social Care REF: Bradford 5270846 Pay rate: £390.50 per day PAYE An Enhanced DBS is required for this role. The role: On behalf of a local council, we are seeking a Programme Lead / Project Manager to support a newly formed Families First Reform Programme, a high-impact, high-profile transformation initiative that will shape the future of family support and children’s social care in the local area. The role will support both Strategy & Governance. You will lead on the implementation of system changes in Children’s Services within the CYPE directorate, in line with the Children Wellbeing and Schools Bill legislation. You will focus on designing and overseeing a multi-agency delivery plan involving partners like the Police, Health and Education sectors. You will aim to establish a single, integrated system that protects and supports children and families, ensuring compliance with national guidance. Responsibilities will also include coordinating with stakeholders, managing budgets, tracking progress, and reporting to senior leaders and government bodies. This role combines technical expertise with strategic oversight of portfolio, programme, and project management, ensuring alignment with all priorities. What the client is looking for: Degree or relevant experience Project or programme management qualifications (e.g. APM) Significant experience of delivering high profile, complex and high-risk programmes or projects at a senior level Substantial experience of application of programme or portfolio management approaches at a service or directorate level Experience of resource planning and prioritisation Experience of managing and developing staff Experience of successfully engaging and working with stakeholders from a wide range of disciplines in a multiagency environment Experience of working with and reporting to senior managers Extensive experience of writing reports which are clear and accessible to a variety of audiences Experience of presenting progress reports in person to senior management and elected members or similar Significant experience of building and maintaining positive working relationships both within the organisation and with external bodies Experienced in the management of significant and complex budgets including external funding with set criteria Strong skills in analysing and interpreting complex, disparate datasets to inform policy How to Apply Quote the Job Title and Reference Number in your application.
