Job Title: Interest Rate Risk Analyst
Job Description
We are seeking a financial risk professional with a deep understanding of asset and liability management concepts. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills in data management and extensive experience in developing, testing, implementing, and using the QRM framework for risk modelling and analysis, particularly related to EBA guidelines. A proven track record of successfully developing and implementing risk modelling in QRM to address regulatory requirements across the banking book for a large bank under aggressive timelines is essential, preferably as a consultant while working with multidisciplinary teams and driving stakeholder collaboration. This person neeeds to be an SME in Risk preferably within European entities
Responsibilities
1. Develop, test, and implement risk modelling in QRM to address regulatory requirements.
2. Ensure that QRM’s outputs remain compliant with Basel III and EBA IRR guidelines.
3. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to drive stakeholder engagement.
4. Translate business and regulatory requirements into efficient solutions within the QRM framework.
5. Measure and monitor interest rate risk metrics and sensitivities under various scenarios.
6. Engage in project management to ensure timely delivery of solutions.
7. Conduct independent data analysis using tools like SQL, ETL, and SAS
8. SME in IRR and banking frameworks and should understand EU rules in this matter
9. Help build reporting framework, metrics and governance frameworks
10. Someone who has managed an implementation in another European institution
Essential Skills
11. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Risk Management, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
12. Minimum of 7+ years of Treasury or ALM experience in a medium to large size bank, preferably as a consultant.
13. 5+ years of hands-on experience in developing and implementing ALM and interest rate risk solutions in QRM.
14. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
15. Proficiency in data analysis tools like SQL, ETL, and SAS.
16. Deep understanding of ALM concepts, including financial instruments, balance sheet structure, and interest rate risk.
17. Familiarity with Basel III and EBA IRR guidelines.
