Job Title: SEND Teacher – PMLD & Sensory Curriculum(Long-term)
Area: Bury, Greater Manchester
Start Date: Monday 20th April 2026
Contract Type: Full-time, Long-term
Salary: £1100 – £1500 per week (dependent on experience)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
About the Role
We are seeking a committed and nurturing SEND Teacher to join a well‑established primary SEND provision in Bury. The school supports pupils with complex needs, including profound and multiple learning difficulties, sensory needs, and significant communication challenges.
In this long‑term role, you will deliver highly personalised learning experiences that focus on developmental progress, engagement, and supporting pupils in reaching their EHCP outcomes. The setting places strong emphasis on multi‑sensory learning, communication development, physical programmes, and a holistic, child‑centred approach.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver tailored lessons to pupils with PMLD
2. Plan and differentiate engaging lessons to meet EHCP outcomes and developmental milestones
3. Work closely with support staff and parents/carers to ensure a consistent and supportive learning environment
4. Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and safe learning space where every student can thrive
What We’re Looking For:
5. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
6. Experience teaching in an SEN setting (or strong SEN knowledge within a mainstream environment)
7. A calm, empathetic, and resilient approach to classroom management
8. Passion for inclusive education and a commitment to nurturing every child’s progress
To be eligible you must:
9. Hold Right to Work in the UK
10. Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service OR be willing to process a new application
11. Provide two professional child related references
