Weare seeking a highly skilled and visionary Director ofData Platforms and Architecture to lead the design,development, and governance of our enterprise-wide Snacking dataplatform ecosystem. This individual will be responsible for drivingplatform strategy, fostering innovation, and ensuring robust dataarchitecture that empower multiple products and capabilities topower business decisions, scalability, and operationalexcellence.
As a strategic leader, the Directorof Data Platforms and Architecture will oversee the implementationand optimization of cutting-edge data technologies & solutions,establish best practices in data platforms and governance, andprovide technical leadership to multidisciplinary teams. You willwork closely with stakeholders across business, IT, and analyticsteams to align data architecture with organizational goals,enabling seamless data acquisition and advanced analyticscapabilities.
Whatwill be your keyresponsibilities?
StrategicLeadership:
* Develop anddrive the long-term vision for enterprise data platforms andarchitecture, ensuring alignment with organizational goals andpriorities.
* Collaborate with C-level executivesand business leaders to identify opportunities for leveraging dataas a strategic asset.
DataPlatform Oversight:
* Overseethe design, implementation, and maintenance of modern dataplatforms, including cloud-native solutions, data lakes, datawarehouses, and real-time processingsystems.
* Ensure scalability, reliability, andhigh availability of the data ecosystem to support growing businessneeds.
ArchitectureDesign:
* Define and implemententerprise data architecture standards, including data modeling,integration, and API frameworks.
* Optimizeworkflows and pipelines to ensure efficient and secure dataingestion, processing, storage, andaccess.
* Foster a data-driven culture byensuring architecture supports self-service analytics and businessintelligencetools.
DataGovernance &Security:
* Establish andenforce robust data governance practices, ensuring compliance withregulatory requirements and companypolicies.
* Partner with IT security teams toimplement secure-by-design data architectures that protectsensitive information and mitigaterisks.
TeamManagement:
* Lead and mentora team of data architects, platform engineers, and data governanceprofessionals.
* Foster a culture of innovation,collaboration, and continuous learning within theteam.
EmergingTechnologies:
* Stay abreastof emerging technologies, tools, and industry trends in dataplatforms, AI/ML, and big data.
* Proactivelyevaluate and recommend new technologies that enhance datacapabilities and drive businessinnovation.
Cross-FunctionalCollaboration:
* Partner withIT, analytics, and business teams to identify data needs andtranslate them into actionable platformsolutions.
* Advocate for data democratization byenabling access to clean, high-quality data fordecision-making.
Whatare we lookingfor?
* Bachelor’s or Master’sdegree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering,or a related field.
* 10+ years of experience indata engineering, architecture, or platform management roles, with5+ years in leadership positions.
* Expertise inmodern data platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) and big datatechnologies (e.g., Spark, Kafka,Hadoop).
* Strong knowledge of data governanceframeworks, regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), and datasecurity best practices.
* Proven experience inenterprise-level architecture design andimplementation.
* Hands-on knowledge of databasesystems (SQL/NoSQL), ETL/ELT processes, and data modelingtechniques.
* Exceptional leadership,communication, and stakeholder managementskills.
* Ability to work in fast-paced, agileenvironments and balance long-term strategy with short-termexecution.
PreferredQualifications:
* Certificationsin cloud platforms (AWS Certified Data Analytics, Azure DataEngineer, etc.).
* Experience with AI/MLtechnologies and data scienceplatforms.
* Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CDpipelines, and Infrastructure as Code(IaC).
