Are you a passionate ICT or STEM educator looking to inspire young minds in a specialist setting? We’re seeking an experienced and creative SEN Class Teacher to deliver high-quality teaching to students aged 7–19 with Autism and associated social and communication needs.
This is a rewarding opportunity to teach in a dynamic environment where students follow a range of academic and life skills pathways including GCSEs, Functional Skills, and BTECs. You’ll play a key role in helping learners achieve their full potential—academically, socially, and emotionally.
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Deliver engaging and accessible ICT/STEM lessons tailored to individual needs
* Support students with Autism, ADHD, OCD, PDA, and other complex profiles
* Plan and deliver lessons that promote independence and resilience
* Use adaptive teaching strategies and visual methods to engage reluctant learners
* Lead and support a small team of Teaching Assistants and HLTAs
* Monitor student wellbeing and collaborate with pastoral, clinical, and SEND teams
* Uphold safeguarding and equality policies across all aspects of your role
What We’re Looking For:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Experience teaching ICT, Computing, or STEM subjects at KS3/KS4
* Proven track record of achieving outstanding outcomes for SEN learners
* Strong curriculum knowledge and ability to adapt for SEN
* Experience working with young people with ASD and anxiety-related needs
* Ability to build nurturing relationships and manage challenging behaviours
* Flexible, creative, and resilient approach to teaching
* Experience managing a small team is desirable
