We’re looking for a Trainee Multimedia Journalist to join our team at CambridgeshireLive.
We may be biased, but you’ll be joining a great team committed to reporting the stories which matter most to the residents of Cambridgeshire.

This role is home based however due to the nature of the role, you will need to be based in or around Cambridgeshire, or be prepared to relocate to the area.

About this role
What will the role involve?
You will write and develop stories about local communities, with great pictures and engaging videos, but you will also create maps and graphics, host live Q&As, author newsletters on topics which engage our readers and develop interactive content formats which set us apart from our rivals. All while ensuring that every piece of content is researched and published in accordance with the Editor’s Code of practice. You will be confident using a range of digital formats and quickly identify breaking news by utilising social media.
Who are we looking for?
A trainee candidate with NCTJ preliminary or equivalent, you have the ability to be bold, confident and to be comfortable meeting people face to face, developing a strong contacts book.
You have first rate editing, writing and subbing skills, relish the test of working under pressure and to tight deadlines. You’re social media savvy with current SEO knowledge and ideally you're familiar with newsroom analytics and content management systems. You’re flexible, inquisitive and are on the pulse of what makes a great story!
