The Stop Smoking Advisor will deliver a client-led smoking cessation treatment plan via one to one, drop in or group sessions depending on the needs of the client, and monitor outcomes of treatment programmes for their effectiveness.

Main duties of the job
Explain to clients the principles of Stop Smoking Services so that they can make an informed choice to stop smoking.
Deliver a client-led treatment plan in accordance with national and local guidelines, effectively and professionally supporting the client throughout their quit attempt. This will include CO monitoring, the completion of accurate data to comply with Russell standards, and a comprehensive clinical record of weekly interventions.
Deliver one-to-one, drop in or group stop smoking support sessions, ensuring ease of access for clients from local communities.
Provide a high-quality, efficient service throughout a diverse range of community settings.
Manage conflict effectively either in a group setting or with individual clients.
Monitor outcomes of treatment programmes for their effectiveness.
The advisor may potentially be required to work with complex health needs in relation to behaviour change.
Actively participate in promotional events.
Carry out any other duties that relate to this post

Solutions4Health are delighted to be offering the role of Community Stop Smoking Adviser at Winchester and surrounding areas. This is a full-time job with a salary of £24,960 per annum.

Personal Specification
The successful candidate will have:
1. A strong understanding of the impact of smoking on health is essential
2. An understanding of the problems experienced by socially disadvantaged sectors of the community.
3. Knowledge of behaviour change models
4. The ability to travel and transport equipment between clinics across Hampshire.
5. Evening and Saturday work will be required
Required Skills/Qualifications
The successful candidate will have:
6. GCSE equivalent.
7. IT skills and experience with data inputting essential.
8. While training will be provided, this role with require the successful candidate to undertake considerable online training including smoking cessation NCSCT level 2 training, safeguarding and other training as agreed with the line manager.
9. UK Full Driving License - possible use of company vehicle.
