About The Role
A fantastic secondary school in Chorley is seeking a
reliable and enthusiastic Computing teacher
to join their team on a temporary basis. This is a full-time role, 5 days a week, initially for 6–8 weeks, with the possibility of extension depending on school needs.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging Computing lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
* Support pupils in developing their understanding of programming, digital literacy, and computational thinking.
* Assess, mark, and provide constructive feedback to students to track progress.
* Maintain high standards of classroom management, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure curriculum coverage and student support.
* Contribute to school initiatives and support wider departmental activities as needed.
Ideal Candidate
* Qualified teacher or equivalent experience in Computing / ICT.
* Experience teaching KS3 and KS4, including GCSE-level Computing.
* Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
* Passionate about engaging students and promoting learning in Computing.
* Flexible, reliable, and able to adapt to different classroom needs.
