As Breakfast Floor Manager, you will embody the art de vivre and refined elegance that define the Sofitel brand. You are the ambassador of our morning experience — curating a seamless, sophisticated, and distinctly French‑inspired service that delights both international and local guests. Leading with passion and precision, you will orchestrate the breakfast operation to reflect the hotel’s five‑star standards, ensuring every guest encounter is warm, personalised, and memorable. This role requires a strong sense of hospitality theatre, operational excellence, and the ability to inspire a team to deliver service with flair and finesse.
Responsibilities
* Lead and inspire the breakfast team to deliver impeccable, anticipatory service aligned with Sofitel luxury standards.
* Curate a refined and elegant breakfast atmosphere, ensuring every detail — from mise en place to guest farewell — reflects excellence.
* Conduct engaging daily briefings, fostering team motivation, product knowledge, and service precision.
* Personally welcome VIPs, regular guests, and loyalty members, creating bespoke and memorable experiences.
* Oversee guest flow, reservations, and seating plans to ensure seamless service with effortless sophistication.
* Address guest feedback with grace and professionalism, transforming challenges into moments of elevated service recovery.
* Collaborate closely with the culinary brigade to ensure flawless timing, presentation, and quality of offerings.
* Maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness, presentation, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
* Support recruitment, training, and continuous development of ambassadors, nurturing talent in line with Sofitel values.
* Manage scheduling, payroll controls, and departmental costs to achieve financial objectives without compromising luxury.
* Uphold brand standards, licensing laws, and company policies while championing the Sofitel culture of excellence.
Qualifications
* Minimum 2–3 years’ supervisory or management experience within a luxury hotel or high‑end restaurant environment.
* Previous experience leading a breakfast or high‑volume morning service preferred.
* Strong knowledge of food and beverage operations, including wine and barista service.
* Understanding of UK health & safety, food hygiene, and licensing regulations.
* Hospitality qualification or relevant professional training desirable.
