Job Title: Commercial Manager
Location: Falmer (Hybrid Working)
Salary: from £58k
Working Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Working Model: Hybrid – office in Durrington and remote
Job Overview
As a Commercial Manager, you will support the development and delivery of major infrastructure projects, including Direct Procurement for Customers (DPC) and Specified Infrastructure Projects Regulations (SIPR). You will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to shape commercial strategies that deliver long‑term value for customers, the environment, and the business.
Responsibilities
* Support the development and negotiation of commercial agreements, including DBFOM and Bulk Supply Agreements.
* Assist in shaping commercial models, risk allocation strategies, and payment mechanisms for large-scale infrastructure projects.
* Contribute to the preparation of internal business cases and project approvals.
* Help coordinate engagement with external stakeholders including regulators (such as Ofwat), investors, and delivery partners.
* Work collaboratively with internal teams across Legal, Finance, Regulatory, and Engineering to ensure commercial alignment.
* Monitor and manage commercial risks and support the delivery of financially efficient outcomes.
Qualifications
• Experience in a commercial, financial, or project delivery role, preferably in a regulated or infrastructure environment.
• Solid understanding of commercial contracts and financial principles.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Degree or equivalent experience in business, finance, law, or engineering.
