Ty Hafan is a children's hospice located on the Vale of Glamorgan coastline, offering a supportive environment for families in South, East, and West Wales. We are seeking a Family Advocacy & Event Facilitator to join our Family Support Team.
The role is permanent, part-time (30 hours/week over 4 days). It requires some evening and weekend work to support families' needs, with flexibility and advance notice. The position is based at the hospice in Sully, with travel across Wales for community events.
Role Responsibilities:
* Oversee daily services and events managed by Family Support and Sibling Support Workers, including line management of a small team.
* Ensure delivery and evaluation of a diverse program of events in hospice and community settings, aligned with family needs.
* Collaborate with statutory and non-statutory organizations to advocate for and support families accessing Ty Hafan services, including financial assistance, food banks, and charity applications.
* Work closely with the wider Ty Hafan Family Wellbeing Service, including colleagues across Wales.

Candidate Profile:
Seeking a qualified therapist (Play, Drama, Art) registered to work with children and young people experiencing grief and bereavement. Previous palliative care experience is not essential, but compassion and a desire to support families are key.
