Salary: £ £15/hr dependant on experience | Part Time / Bank Hours
Hours: Flexible, Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:00pm | 38 weeks per year

Our partner school in Ipswich, Suffolk, is seeking motivated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to join their friendly, hardworking team. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and young people with special educational needs, including communication difficulties, physical disabilities, and profound and multiple learning difficulties. Many students are on the autistic spectrum.
About the Role
As a Bank SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support students on a one-to-one basis, in small groups, and in whole class settings. Your role will be varied and rewarding, helping pupils access their learning, develop confidence, and engage fully with school life. Flexibility, patience, and empathy are essential as you adapt to the needs of different students each day.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide individual and small group support to students with SEN
* Assist with classroom activities and whole class learning as required
* Support communication, social, and behavioural development
* Work closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff to ensure consistent, personalised care
* Monitor and report on student progress to aid planning and assessment
* Promote a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
Requirements
* Experience working with children with SEN, including SEMH, communication, or learning difficulties
* Patience, resilience, and the ability to remain calm under pressure
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Flexible approach to working in a variety of educational settings
* Commitment to supporting the development and wellbeing of children
