About the school
Southall School is a secondary special school in Dawley for pupils with learning difficulties and complex needs. The school is currently oversubscribed with 211 pupils aged 11–16 on roll. All pupils have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) and increasing numbers require specialist support for needs including personal care, speech and language and physiotherapy.

Role and leadership
We have an opportunity for someone to join our enthusiastic Senior Leadership Team as Deputy Headteacher. We require someone who is committed to providing first class education and care, who will continue to raise attainment and achievement, whilst enabling pupils to develop vital life skills and become independent young people. You must be an outstanding practitioner, capable of inspiring staff and pupils alike. We welcome applicants from all educational backgrounds (primary or secondary, specialist setting or mainstream). All we ask is that you are an outstanding, pupil-centered practitioner and leader with a passion for education and SEND.
Leadership range: L18 – 22
