Here at GXO, we are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Team Manager to join our team in Northampton, supporting our customer Sainsbury’s, in our frozen warehouse operation. You will be responsible for managing and leading your own team helping to coach, motivate and engage them to create a great team culture with a strong work ethic.
This is a full time, permanent position, working any 5 days from 7, 14:00 till 22:00.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £33,280.00 per annum plus a shift premium of £1.00 per hour worked on Saturday and £1.50 per hour worked on Sunday and a premium paid after 18:00 of £2.25 per hour. You will also receive 33 days annual leave (inclusive bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day
* Lead operational activities in your area for the duration of the shift to achieve the work plan on time and in line with budget and KPIs.
* Drive performance through effective monitoring of coaching and performance.
* Review all aspects of shift performance, identifying areas for improvement.
* Lead the team on shift proactively to motivate high performance, develop positive engagement and good communication across the operation.
* Manage the warehouse training requirement and function.
What you need to succeed at GXO
* Proven experience in managing a large operational team in a fast‑paced warehouse environment (ideally a food operation).
* The ability to lead continuous improvement projects whilst demonstrating excellent planning skills.
* Excellent communication skills with a focus on maintaining on‑site engagement.
