Dowhas an exciting job opportunity as aSr. Emergency Services and Security Technician (Shift Incident Commander) at BCO- Bristol-Croydon Operations Site. Bristol, PA.

In this role, you will share responsibility for the implementation of the emergency services and security (ES&S) management systemin order tomeet businessobjectivesand tomaintainthe license tooperate. You will provide hands-on emergency services and security activities for a specific plant. You will alsobe requiredto have fullproficiencyin a range of technical, operational, or analytical/scientific processes and procedures through job-related training and considerableon the jobexperience to perform a variety of work assignments. At times, you will act as an informal resource for team members with less experience.

Responsibilities / Duties

1. Maintain professional communication and interpersonal skills while interacting with management, community, and public officials.
2. Utilize Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and email for reporting and documentation.
3. Work a 24-hour rotating shift, including holidays, and respond to emergency call-backs in adverse weather.
4. Perform tasks independently or as part of a team, ensuring compliance with industrial safety rules and practices.
5. Protect facility from fire and hazards; inspect, test, andmaintainfire protection systems and safety equipment.
6. Serve as primary contact for site security officers; manage and de-escalate security issues and liaise with local authorities.
7. Participate in planning, training, and coordination of emergency response teams and corporate outreach initiatives.
8. Respond to alarms, medical emergencies, rescues, hazardous materials, fires, and mutual aid calls; prepare incident reports.
9. Develop andmaintainemergency plans and pre-incident strategies; assume roles within the National Incident Command System.
10. Lead emergency response efforts as Shift Chief or Response Team Leader;establishunified command during incidents.
11. Conduct fire/safety training, behavior-based evaluations, and compliance inspections; follow up on corrective actions.
12. Act as out-of-hours contact for community issues and safety consultations; performadditionalduties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

14. High School Diploma,GEDor equivalent
15. A minimum of 6 years’ experience with an emergency response organization (fire, emergency medical service, or industrial safety / emergency services). 
16. Mustpossessor be able to obtaincertification as a Pennsylvaniaor National Registry EMT(Emergency Medical Technician)within first year of hire
17. FireFighterII, Hazardous Material Operations, Rope Rescue, EVOC, and NIMS100, 200, 700, and 800.
18. Must have a valid driver’s license for the state in which the candidateresides.
19. Must alreadypossessor obtain a Commercial Driver’s License within first year of hire
20. Work a 24-hour rotating shift, including holidays, and respond to emergency call-backs in adverse weather
21. orwithin 6 months of hire. 
22. A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.

Preferred Qualifications

23. 3 years’ experience in municipal fire inspection, industrial safety, or related field.
24. IFSAC /ProBoardDriver-Operator, Confined Space Rescue, Fire Officer 1, Hazmat Technician, Hazmat IC, Incident Safety Officer, NIMS 300 and 400. 
25. Have knowledge of the UCC (Uniform Construction Code), OSHA 1910 standards, and NFPA standards. 
26. Certification as emergency services instructor in fire, EMS, hazmat and havedemonstratedability to conduct training and speak publicly in front of groups.

31. Risk Awareness:Has the ability toidentify, evaluate, and prioritize the risks and follow up with coordinated and economical application of resources to minimize,monitor, and mitigateimpactof unfortunate events.
32. Safety Awareness:Safety mindset and willingness to learn.

Physical Demands

Willing and able to meet physical demands of the job, with or without reasonableaccommodations:

33. Must be able tolift upto 50 lbs.
34. Must be comfortable with moving, climbing, walking, and twisting consistent with a large variety of positionsutilizedto operate equipment and work on the ground and sedentarytypework from a computer workstation.
35. Candidate must be clean shaven
36. Must be able to wear self-contained breathing apparatus
37. Physically & mentally able to work in stressful environments including, but not limitedto:confined spaces, low visibility, fully encapsulated PPE, andextremeclose proximityto others.
38. Ability to work comfortably and safely at elevated heights. Candidates must be familiar with, or willing to undergo training in, the proper usage and maintenance of safety equipment to ensure safe movement and operations at heights.
39. The successful candidate mustsubmitto and pass a company provided physical exam, drug screening, physical agility test, and a background check prior to appointment to the position.
