HSE Advisor – Fabrication (Contract Role)
Overview:
The HSE Advisor supports the on-site Package Management and Fabrication Team by implementing HSE strategies and ensuring supplier compliance with project-specific health and safety requirements. The role focuses on driving performance improvements, reducing incidents, and supporting continuous safety enhancements during fabrication activities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure supplier compliance with HSE requirements per contract
* Plan and conduct risk-based supplier assessments and inspections
* Support HSE strategy implementation and Improvement Plans
* Coordinate operational HSE initiatives across teams
* Participate in incident investigations and follow-ups
* Monitor and report on supplier HSE performance and KPIs
* Maintain HSE data structure and reporting tools (e.g., Synergi or equivalent)
* Contribute to and attend HSE meetings, workshops, and audits
* Develop yard-specific safety guidelines and deliver inductions
Expected Deliverables:
* HSE document reviews and supplier action follow-ups
* Risk assessments, inspections, and HSE site presence
* Regular reporting on supplier performance and improvement tracking
* Ongoing updates to QHSE assurance plans and escalation of non-compliance
* Participation in meetings, risk workshops, and audits
Success Criteria:
* Reduction in TRIR and non-conformities
* Timely delivery of milestones
* Positive supplier HSE performance against project objectives
* Effective implementation of improvement and assurance plans
Requirements:
* IOSH or NEBOSH General/Construction Certificate (Diploma preferred)
* 5+ years in industrial manufacturing HSE (ideally fabrication)
* 10+ years in QHSE management
* Incident investigation and root cause analysis experience
* Knowledge of local HSE regulations
* Valid training in Work at Height (e.g., GWO) and First Aid
* Valid medical certificate
* Fluent in English (spoken and written)
* Strong interpersonal, communication, and motivational skills
