With over six decades of experience and an excellent reputation, we have been chosen to support South West Water (SWW), to deliver an exciting programme of works, aimed at strengthening and future-proofing the water and wastewater networks across the region.
Here a some of the activities you will be involved in…
* Support commercial leadership on the contract by fully understanding the company's rights and obligations, helping to maximise profitability and mitigate risks.
* Provide line management to a team of professionals, promoting effective commercial management while ensuring personnel are trained and competent to meet company and contract goals.

* Assist in the development of budgets and cost controls, contributing to the achievement of financial and project targets.
* Contribute to the weekly and monthly cost value reconciliation process by supplying accurate and timely data for informed decision-making.
* Effectively manage cash flow by maximising income and reducing exposure to work in progress.
* Identify, price, and negotiate variations to the contract scope in accordance with contractual obligations.
* Oversee the engagement of subcontracts at appropriate rates and terms, ensuring administration aligns with company procedures and contractual requirements, and reflects the value and risk of the subcontracted works.
We would love to hear from you if…
You possess a positive, can-do attitude and bring extensive commercial experience within a contractor environment, with a proven ability to motivate teams toward shared goals. You have demonstrable expertise in managing a variety of contracts, including complex contractual arrangements, and possess significant technical construction knowledge. Your strong commercial awareness is underpinned by clearly evidenced experience at a Senior Quantity Surveyor level. With excellent verbal and written communication skills, you are adept at building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders at all levels. Resourceful and detail-oriented, you perform well under pressure and consistently deliver high standards of work.
