Job Title: College Mentor
Location: Chelmsford
Rate: £90 to £130 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Day-to-day / Long-term, Part-time / Full-time
Are you passionate about guiding young people through their educational journey? GSL Education looking for a dedicated College Mentor to join a supportive college setting in Chelmsford, where you’ll play a key role in helping students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
About the Role:
As a College Mentor, you’ll provide tailored support to students, helping them navigate challenges, stay motivated, and achieve their goals. You’ll work closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities of College Mentor:
* Offer one-on-one and group mentoring to students.
* Help students set realistic goals and develop strategies to achieve them.
* Track student engagement and performance, providing regular feedback to staff and students.
* Work with teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure a consistent and effective support network.
* Motivate students to stay on track and believe in their potential.
Requirements for College Mentor:
* Previous experience working with young people in an educational or mentoring capacity is essential.
* Strong communication, empathy, and problem-solving abilities.
* A genuine passion for supporting student success.
