Utopian Professional Recruitment are delighted to be recently appointed to work in partnership with an incredible client who is looking to recruit an ambitious Finance Assistant to join their team on a full time, permanent basis.
Your main responsibilities will include:
* Bulk processing of invoices, expenses and other financial transactions
* Credit Control
* Bank and control account reconciliations
* Preparation of VAT files and returns, including month end control account reconciliations
* Assisting departmental managers with ad hoc client tasks
* Online accounts software set-up
* Maintaining up to date technical knowledge of VAT rules and accounting software
* Oral and written communication with client and HMRC
* Liaising with colleagues to provide a co-ordinated service to the client.
* Maintaining client contact to deliver proactive service
* Filing and document management
To be considered for this opportunity we are looking for the following background / experience:
* Ideally you will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience working within an accounting practice using online accounting software.
* Ideally you should be able to demonstrate a passion for online accounting software and an understanding of current advisory services supported by tech and app stacks.
* You will be committed to delivering first class service to clients and colleagues alike.
* Ability to work on own initiative to meet tight deadlines.
* You will have excellent IT skills and have a proven ability to retain knowledge in relation to software.
* Strong communication skills both oral and written.
* Adaptable with the ability to prioritise workload.
