Job Description
We are seeking Level 2 and Level 3 Early Years Teaching Assistants for primary schools and nurseries across Southport. This role involves supporting children as they take their first steps in the education system, helping them develop essential skills through structured activities and child‑led play.
The temp‑to‑perm pathway offers a strong opportunity for long‑term employment for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
* Supporting early phonics, early reading, and social development
* Assisting teachers with day‑to‑day classroom delivery
* Engaging children through imaginative and sensory play
* Encouraging independence and confidence
* Ensuring a safe and nurturing learning space
Requirements
* Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
* Experience within Early Years is advantageous
* Understanding of child development and EYFS expectations
* Friendly, supportive, and engaging manner
* Ability to work collaboratively with staff and parents
