Job: Python Developer London, UK Hybrid working – 3 days on-site Full time contract - long term engagement IR35 via Umbrella About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Python Developer to join our Risk Technology team. You will be responsible for designing and developing a global Python-based application focused on telemetry and technical component management within our application landscape. The project supports CCR Transversal Stress Testing for Counterparties and involves integration with a wide array of tools and services, including Kafka, SQL databases, and CI/CD pipelines. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain a robust Python application for telemetry and component management. Build Kafka integrations to enable real-time communication between the Python application and various system components. Develop and implement a web-based UI for operations, reporting, and administrative functions. Collaborate with DevOps to maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and TeamCity. Interface with internal teams globally to understand Risk use cases and ensure the application supports operational objectives. Monitor the health and performance of agents embedded in Java and Python components across the infrastructure. Maintain and document technical requirements, processes, and user guides via Jira and Confluence. Key Skills & Experience: Advanced Python development, including experience with building User Interfaces (web-based preferred). Advanced Kafka expertise, including experience with real-time data streaming and messaging systems. Strong SQL skills for data querying, transformation, and analysis. Experience with Atlassian tools: Jira and Confluence. Experience with CI/CD tools such as TeamCity and Jenkins. Proficiency with Git for version control and collaborative development. Experience working in a global, cross-functional team and delivering enterprise-level applications. Desirable: Background in Risk or Financial Services, particularly within Counterparty Credit Risk or Stress Testing projects. Understanding of telemetry, system monitoring, or health-check architectures. Experience working with agent-based frameworks or distributed systems.
