We currently are 4 Partners and 1 salaried GPworking at Alma Medical Centre, with a well- established team of PracticeNurses, HCAs and reception/ administration staff. As well as having happypatients we are also a team of doctors with high job satisfaction who enjoyworking together.
Weare active in the Southampton central Primary Care Network with a partnerinvolved as clinical director. We benefit from a PCN social prescriber,physiotherapist, pharmacist, and mental health nurse working alongside ourpractice team

We are looking forone GP to join our team at Alma Medical centre. General Medical Services with 6sessions per week. Days per week can be negotiable but would need to ensuregood cover for your patients through the week including Mondays & Fridays.You will be based at our Alma Medical Centre with the support of a wellestablish traditional list holding team of GP's
In accordance with the Practice timetable, as agreed, the post-holder will make him/her-self available to undertake a variety of duties including surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, visiting patients at home, checking, and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion.
Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other health care workers within the organisation.
Recording clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards.

Job responsibilities
Inaccordance with the Practice timetable, as agreed, the post-holder will makehim/her-self available to undertake a variety of duties including surgeryconsultations, telephone consultations and queries, visiting patients at home,checking, and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperworkand correspondence in a timely fashion.
Makingprofessional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whetherself-referred or referred from other health care workers within theorganisation.
Assessingthe health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosedproblems
Screeningpatients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness
Inconsultation with patients and in line with current Practice disease managementprotocols, developing care plans for health.
Providingcounselling and health education
Admittingor discharging patients to and from the caseload and referring to other careproviders as appropriate
Recordingclear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards.
Collectingdata for audit purposes
Compilingand issuing computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions (avoidinghandwritten prescriptions whenever possible)
Prescribingin accordance with the Practice prescribing formulary (or generically) wheneverthis is clinically appropriate.
Ingeneral, the post-holder will be expected to undertake all the normal dutiesand responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care.

Qualifications
Essential
1. Qualified GP
2. MRCGP
3. Vocational Training Certificate or equivalent JCPTGP
4. General Practitioner (Certificate of Completion of Training CCT)
5. Full GMC Registration
6. National Performers List registration
7. Eligibility to practice in the UK independently
Experience

9. Experience of working in a GP practice
10. Experience of working in primary care

11. A medical practitioner whose name is included in the General Practitioner Register under article 10 of the General and Specialist Medical Practice Order 2003
12. Not subject to suspension under section 41A of the Medical Act 1983
13. Qualified General Practitioner (completed certificate of Completion of Training CCT)
14. Currently on a performers list and not suspended from that list or from the medical register.
15. Accredited as a member of the Royal College Of General Practitioners (MRCGP) MBBS or equivalent medical degree
