D-TACQ Solutions manufactures a range of data acquisition appliances used in instrumentation on Big Physics experiments, as well as sonar, seismic and OEM applications worldwide. The range features high-end electronics, FPGA integration and embedded Linux for control.
Role Description
A Trainee Electronics Assembly/Test Technician is needed to join our team at D-TACQ Solutions, a leading manufacturer of data acquisition appliances based in Blantyre, on a full-time basis.
D-TACQ is a low volume, high end manufacturer, with a Quality driven manufacturing operation.
Duties include: Program and Test of PCB Assemblies, Box Build, hand solder rework. Aspects of micro electronics, therefore an ability of working to fine detail is essential. Stock Control - Maintenance of the parts stock room. Packaging and shipping of D-TACQ Products and Systems.
Desired Qualities
* Basic understanding of Electronics Technology
* Experience or willingness to learn Soldering and Troubleshooting techniques
* Strong attention to detail and eagerness to learn and develop technical skills
* Problem-solving attitude and ability to work as part of a team
* Qualified to HNC in Electronics is preferred (but not essential - day release at college will be an option for a suitable candidate). Consideration will be given to applicants who can demonstrate a willingness to learn, and become part of a highly motivated and professional team.
