The Role: SEN Teaching Assistant - Watford As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in a small, specialist provision within the school, supporting pupils with complex social, emotional, and communication needs. One child is known to display challenging behaviour when dysregulated, including biting - so confidence, experience, and resilience are key. You will: Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with EHCPs and additional needs. Use emotional regulation strategies to prevent and de-escalate dysregulation. Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCO, and parents to implement tailored support. Foster a calm, structured, and caring learning space where children feel safe and supported.
