Based at a highly advanced manufacturing facility in Rugby, this role sits within a specialist Manufacturing Readiness and Technologies team, focused on driving innovation, efficiency, and operational excellence across complex, high:value engineering projects.
What Youll Be Doing
Lead CAPEX investment projects from concept and cost justification through to installation and handover Drive Lean / Kaizen initiatives to improve efficiency, cost, and delivery performance Plan and coordinate installation, commissioning, and manufacturing readiness activities Analyse workflows, layouts, and space utilisation to optimise production Present improvement initiatives and business cases to senior stakeholders Track and deliver measurable cost savings and performance improvements Mentor and develop junior engineers within the team Work cross:functionally to ensure successful project delivery
What Were Looking For
Essential:
Strong background in Lean Manufacturing / Continuous Improvement leadership Proven experience delivering engineering or manufacturing improvement projects Ability to lead change and drive cultural transformation Strong stakeholder engagement and leadership skills Experience within a complex manufacturing environment
Desirable:
CAD experience (ideally Creo ) : ability to design tooling concepts Lean qualifications (Six Sigma, Kaizen, etc.) Experience with CAPEX project delivery Broad understanding of manufacturing processes
