About the service: Short Breaks is a 6 bed respite service providing person centred care to adults with Learning Disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorder. We support individuals during their stay with all aspects of daily living including personal care, medication, and outings.
Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Support Worker to join our team at Burrow Down Support Services. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals with learning disabilities, ensuring their well-being and enhancing their quality of life through personalized care.
Responsibilities
Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal care and meal preparation.
Updating of care plans and Risk Assessments
Leading a staff team
Administer medication as prescribed and monitor health conditions.
Provide emotional support and companionship to clients.
Implement behaviour management strategies to promote positive interactions.
Assist with mobility and physical activities, including heavy lifting when necessary.
Maintain accurate records of client progress and care plans.
Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a cohesive approach to care.
Liaising with families and care professionals
