Role Overview
We're looking for a hands‑on, people‑focused Production Team Leader to support a busy manufacturing environment, working closely with the Production Manager to drive performance, quality, and continuous improvement on the shop floor.
You'll lead the Test & Diagnostics team, ensuring smooth day‑to‑day operations, meeting production targets, and maintaining high standards of safety and quality. You'll supervise staff, coordinate workloads, monitor performance, and elevate risks where needed.
Key Responsibilities
* Support delivery of production targets and resolve bottlenecks or risks
* Ensure adherence to manufacturing processes, quality, and safety standards
* Lead daily tier meetings and support performance reviews and reporting
* Monitor team performance, carry out 1:1s, appraisals, and absence management
* Drive Lean, 5S, and continuous improvement activities within the area
* Use data and production metrics to improve efficiency and workflow
* Support training, skills development, and multi‑skilling across the team
* Promote a positive culture aligned with company values and behaviours
About You
* Proven supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment
* Strong people leadership skills with the ability to coach and motivate
* Good understanding of production workflows, targets, and planning
* Experience with Lean/CI tools (5S, root cause analysis, PDCA, etc.)
* Confident communicator able to lead briefings and cross‑team collaboration
* Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, target‑driven environment
