Role Summary As Sales Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind the performance and growth of our residential sales team. Leading from the front, you will manage a team of Negotiators and Valuers, generate new business, and ensure every client receives outstanding service. Key Responsibilities Sales & Performance Management Lead and inspire the sales team to exceed targets across instructions, viewings, offers, and completions. Conduct regular 1:1s, team meetings, and coaching sessions to drive productivity. Use KPIs and performance data to implement strategic improvements. Valuations & New Instructions Carry out accurate property appraisals and secure new listings. Provide expert advice to clients on pricing, presentation, and marketing strategies. Build a personal pipeline and maximise valuation-to-instruction conversions. Business Development Develop strong relationships with clients, local businesses, and partners. Identify and action new business opportunities in the Plymouth area. Encourage proactive lead generation through canvassing, database work, and referrals. Customer Experience Ensure clients experience first-class service and transparent communication. Resolve escalated queries with professionalism and a solution-first approach. Champion Your Move’s reputation for trust and reliability. Team Leadership Set high standards in conduct, customer care, and team performance. Support recruitment, training, and development of team members. Promote a positive, collaborative, and achievement-focused culture. Marketing & Compliance Ensure properties are marketed effectively across all platforms and materials. Maintain compliance with AML, data protection, and health & safety standards. Candidate Profile Experience & Background Proven track record in residential estate agency – as a Senior Negotiator, Valuer, Assistant Manager, or Manager. Strong record of achieving sales targets and growing business. Previous team leadership or mentoring experience preferred. Skills & Attributes Inspiring leadership with a hands-on, motivating style. Strong appraisal, negotiation, and closing skills. Excellent organisational and time management capabilities. Confident, client-focused, and commercially minded. Familiarity with CRM platforms (e.g. Reapit, Alto, Dezrez) and Microsoft Office. Qualifications NAEA or ARLA qualifications (desirable but not essential). Full UK driving licence and access to a car.
