Job Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused Counter Staff to join our team. This role involves providing excellent service to customers, preparing food items, and ensuring a welcoming environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. Duties
* Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately
* Prepare and assemble food items according to company standards
* Serve food and beverages in a timely manner while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction
* Handle cash transactions and operate the till with accuracy
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the counter area, including food preparation surfaces
* Upsell menu items to maximise sales opportunities
* Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations at all times
* Assist in restocking supplies and managing stock levels
* Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth operation
Qualifications
* Previous experience in food preparation or restaurant service is desirable but not essential
* Knowledge of food safety standards and practices
* Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and managing orders
* Experience with serving customers in a fast-paced environment is advantageous
* Kitchen or culinary experience is a plus but not mandatory
* Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively
* Ability to work well within a team and communicate clearly with colleagues and customers
* Organised, reliable, and attentive to detail
