Portfolio Manager - Transformation & Portfolio Office
Contract Length: 3 month contract (Possible extension)
Locations: Warwick or Wokingham (Hybrid based role 1-2 times a week)
Rate: £600 per day via umbrella - Inside IR35

We're supporting a national organisation undergoing a significant transformation within its Enterprise Portfolio Office (EPO). They are looking for a Portfolio Manager who can blend hands‑on delivery with portfolio leadership, driving the development of new ways of working across a complex and evolving portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the implementation and rollout of the new PPM tool, including processes, templates and governance required for successful adoption
Design, enhance and embed portfolio management processes, ensuring they meet the needs of a transforming organisation.
Provide operational leadership within the EPO, supporting the development and maturity of the function.
Work hands‑on across planning, governance, reporting and pipeline management, ensuring consistent standards and quality.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives, particularly those aimed at maturing portfolio capabilities
Engage confidently with senior stakeholders across the organisation, ensuring clarity, alignment, and strong communication.Skills & Experience We're Looking For
Proven experience working within portfolio management or PMO leadership
A track record of designing and implementing portfolio processes, not just operating existing ones.
Comfortable working in fast‑changing, ambiguous environments where the roadmap evolves quickly.
Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands‑on delivery
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with credibility at senior levels.
Experience supporting continuous improvement and organisational maturity uplift work.
Experience within the energy or regulated industries (helpful but not essential).
