Permanent Veterinary Surgeon - Cert in Surgery – Harlow
Key Details:
* Working Days: 4–5 days per week
* Hours: 40 hours per week, weekend rota 1 in 10 on-call, no out-of-hours
* Duties: Predominantly surgical with some consulting, orthopaedic case bias

About the Role:
* The client is seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon with a certificate in surgery to join a modern small animal practice as it re-opens a newly refurbished site.
* The role will suit a surgeon confident with basic fracture repairs, cruciate repair, and advanced soft tissue procedures. The post holder will generate and manage their own surgical caseload while balancing some consulting duties. There is access to advanced diagnostics and procedures at a nearby hospital, including CT, MRI, and endoscopy, with the opportunity to follow through cases for continuity of care.
* The surgeon will work within a 2–3 Vet team supported by an experienced nursing team and will contribute to the development of new graduates.
* The wider group includes certificate holders across ophthalmology, dermatology, internal medicine, cardiology, diagnostic imaging, and small animal surgery, providing regular case discussion, referral support, and ongoing learning.
