The Senior Technical Healthcare Assistant supports the nursing team in assessing and managing new patient admissions, providing personal care and clinical interventions in an inpatient setting.
Skills such as venepuncture, cannulation, ECG, septic screening, swab taking, bladder scans, and catheterisation are desirable but can be learned on the job.
The role requires effective communication across all levels and involvement in staff training.
You may contribute to care assessments and the delivery of planned care under supervision, including recording observations and noting changes in patient conditions, adhering to Trust standards and your scope of practice.
While technical skills are emphasized, providing personal care, supporting nutritional needs, and aiding patient recovery are also key aspects.
Our Technical Senior Healthcare Support Workers are vital members of the Acute Medicine Unit team, supported by comprehensive training and development programs.

Working Pattern: Up to hours per week. Shifts are hrs-hrs or hrs-hrs with breaks. Check details at interview.
