Role: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Norwich, Norfolk
Overview
We are looking for dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils with special educational needs across schools in Norwich and the wider Norfolk area on a supply basis. This role involves working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff to provide tailored support that helps pupils access learning and make meaningful progress.

Key Responsibilities
Provide one-to-one or small-group support to pupils with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or learning difficulties
Assist in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies
Support pupils during classroom activities, helping them stay engaged and focused
Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
Adapt learning materials to meet individual needs
Work collaboratively with teaching staff and external professionals
Monitor pupil progress and share feedback with the class teacher or SENCO
Support with personal care where required
Skills & Requirements
Experience working with children or young people with SEN (in education or care settings)
Strong communication and behaviour management skills
A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach
Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
