Payroll & Pensions Manager
I'm currently supporting a fantastic college that is looking to appoint an experienced Payroll & Pensions Manager to join their HR and Finance function.
This is a brilliant opportunity for someone with strong payroll and pensions expertise who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and taking ownership of a critical function within the organisation.
What you'll be doing:Managing the end-to-end monthly payroll process, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on timeOverseeing pension processes including LGPS, Teachers' Pensions and Auto EnrolmentSubmitting payroll reports, FPS/EPS returns and year-end payroll dutiesMonitoring payroll workflows and ensuring compliance with statutory regulationsActing as the main point of contact for payroll and pension queriesManaging and developing payroll processes within the iTrent HR/Payroll systemProducing payroll forecasting reports and supporting management accountsLine managing the Payroll/HR Administrator and supporting their developmentEnsuring payroll procedures remain compliant with current legislation and best practice
What we're looking for:Previous payroll management experience within a medium to large organisationStrong knowledge of payroll legislation, pensions, PAYE and National InsuranceExperience using complex HR/payroll systems, ideally iTrent (MHR)Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skillsStrong communication and organisational skillsA proactive and collaborative approach to workPayroll or pensions qualifications such as CIPP or AAT are highly desirable
