We are currently recruiting Process operator to join our Maintenance team at our MRF site in Braunstone frith, Leicester. You would be monitoring the mobile plant equipment to ensure that the quality of the material passing through is high. You would also be monitoring the plant for any faults and reporting these to the maintenance engineer. The shift pattern is 4 on 4 off with 2 weeks of days and 2 weeks of nights. The hours are Week 1&2: 6.00am to 6.15pm, alternating with Week 3&4: 6.00pm to 6:15am.
Role and responsibilities
* Operate the plant equipment safely assisting in the day to day operations whilst controlling the flow of materials.
* Use the SCADA system to monitor quality and faults.
* Undertake correct plant set up activities to ensure a high finished product.
* Complete hourly plant walk arounds and report any defects.
* Monitor plant performance.
* The safe and efficient operation of the control room.
* Fully investigate alarms that appear on the SCADA system.
* Complete detailed reports of stoppages ten minutes and over.
* Identify and respond to plant and processing problems to minimize down time.
* ·Follow all health & safety and environmental standards.
* Maintain housekeeping of defined areas.
* Achieve KPI's.
* Work unsupervised.
