About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and highly professional Aviation Security Mentor to support the development and performance of Aviation Security Agents in line with the CAA Ground Security Operatives (GSO) syllabus.
This role plays a critical part in ensuring regulatory compliance, operational resilience, and consistent performance standards across the operation. Acting as the key link between the station training team and operational delivery, you will provide high‑quality coaching, mentoring and performance monitoring to Aviation Security Agents undertaking On‑the‑Job Training (OJT).
You will work closely with Duty Managers, Supervisors and the Training Team to ensure training compliance is maintained, documentation is accurate and up to date, and business continuity is supported through a sustainable pipeline of trained and competent Security Agents.

Main Responsibilities
* Deliver coaching and mentoring to Aviation Security Agents in line with the CAA GSO syllabus, supporting successful OJT sign‑off
* Act as the conduit between the station training team and operational leadership, ensuring alignment and effective communication
* Monitor, audit and assess the performance of Security Agents and Supervisors against regulatory and company standards
* Maintain full, accurate and compliant OJT documentation and training records in line with CAA, DfT, Aviation entity and Wilson James requirements
* Ensure all training materials and delivery meet the CAA Quality Assurance Framework
* Monitor OJT effectiveness against operational targets, escalating concerns promptly to protect business continuity
* Produce weekly progress reports on OJT activity for both training and operational leadership teams
* Identify learning trends and support the Station Manager and Training Team in implementing remedial and refresher training plans
What we are looking for:
* Strong presentation, interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to coach and influence at all levels
* Knowledge of the National Aviation Security Programme (NASP) and associated regulatory directives
* Demonstrable ability to maintain high performance standards and exemplary work ethic
* Excellent communication and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities
* Ability to work independently, using initiative and sound judgement within a regulated environment
* Proven capability to build and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, clients and third parties
* Strong attention to detail, particularly in maintaining accurate training and compliance documentation
* Competent in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
* Maintain high standards of personal presentation whilst mentoring in operational areas
* Willingness to attend meetings and liaise with internal departments, business partners and third‑party stakeholders
* Valid Counter Terrorist Check (CTC) clearance (or ability to obtain)
