We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Horticultural Service Technician to join the existing team here at our Esher branch, based in Surrey. Role Purpose Reporting to the Service Manager, your responsibility will be to repair and maintain all equipment associated with domestic groundcare machinery sold by the company’s sales department. Main Responsibilities Repair and maintain equipment for customers associated with Groundcare machinery including tractors less than 140 HP. Knowledge of Utility Vehicles, Tractors and or commercial Grass Cutting Machinery. Diagnose faults and successfully carry out repairs which may be chargeable, warrantable or internal type jobs. Lifting of heavy machinery, applying common sense to items that require the assistance of special tools Liaise with customers and suppliers as required. Complete in full the job cards relating to work undertaken including machine detail, time and mileage and any accompanying documentation such as PDI sheets, Delivery forms and Photo’s as necessary. Attend training courses as required by the company to maintain satisfactory levels of compliance and understanding Role Requirements Enjoy working in a busy atmosphere and can cope under pressure during busy periods Able to work alone and on your own initiative Maintain a good general level of health and fitness Excellent customer service skills as this is a customer facing role Additional Information Start Date: Immediately, but subject successful candidates notice period Hours: 39hrs per week – 8am to 5pm, Monday to Thursday, 8am to 4pm Friday (1hr unpaid lunch) Overtime paid at time and a half on completion of 39hrs Monday to Friday Salary: ompetitive, depending upon experience Benefits: 32 days annual leave including bank holidays, Company Sick Pay Scheme, Workplace Pension, Employee Referral Bonus Scheme, Winter Flu Jab Service, Car Tyre Discount, Staff Discount in Country Stores and Life Insurance Cover (2 x salary)
